About Me
I am a daughter of the King, a wife, and a mom of three. Outside of counseling, I love being outside, reading, sleeping, cooking, sewing, moving my body, wandering around my favorite stores, and, of course, drinking coffee or a good matcha.
My desire to become a counselor grew out of walking through many of life’s challenges myself and learning—often the hard way—that it is good and healthy to have a safe person to talk to. I spent over a decade working with teens through youth ministry and serving as an adult leader at church. Through those experiences, I found myself wanting to better understand how to walk alongside people who were going through hard things and how to truly help them. So, in the middle of life, I went back to school and began a new career in counseling—following what has been my favorite career of all: being a mom.
It truly is an honor to sit with people and earn their trust as they share their stories. You might think counseling would be a depressing job, but I have found it to be incredibly rewarding. I get to sit on the front lines of both the hard moments and the beautiful ones—and I get to witness so many victories along the way. There is something really special about watching someone begin to understand themselves, heal, grow, and find hope again.
I also believe that not every counselor is the right fit for every person, and that’s okay. I would love the opportunity to meet with you, hear a little of your story, and see if we might be a good fit to work together. And if I’m not the right person for you, I have a wonderful network of counselors in the Oklahoma City Metro area and would be happy to help connect you with someone who may be a better fit for what you need.
